Recruitment – NIPF Chair and Board Appointments April 2023
The Department of Justice is seeking to appoint a Chairperson and four Board Members to the Northern Ireland Police Fund (NIPF).
The NIPF is an Executive Non-Departmental Public Body of the Department of Justice. It provides care and financial assistance to police officers and ex-officers injured or disabled as a direct result of terrorism and to the families of police officers injured or killed through terrorism. The appointments will be in two phases. Three Board Members are expected to be appointed from October 2023 for a term of up to four years. The Chairperson and one Board Member is due to be appointed from April 2024 for a term of up to four years.
Chairperson
The Chairperson is required to provide effective strategic leadership and ensure that the Board carries out its essential functions in an efficient and effective manner. The remuneration for the position is currently £6,000 per annum.
Board Members
Board Members of NIPF are required to carry out the functions of the organisation and decide on the appropriate distribution of funds commensurate with NIPF’s objectives. Board Member positions are not remunerated.
